Rette is the third world of the Arx System, a six planet system with four inhabitable planets.

Rette is known as a commercial centre and trade point throughout the New Paradigm Concordium. It is the original homeworld of the Undercroft family.

The planet is a typical "green" world made up of various land masses and a large mass of water that comprises the majority of the planet's surface. The planet has a cool, wet climate and very little desert area. Much of the undeveloped land is made up of forests, mountains and lakes. The planet's capital city Gedeihen has a population of nearly nineteen million people and is the home of the Rettian Government at their historic parliament building Heiland Haus.

The native population are primarily humanoid and known as Rettians (pronounced Resh-uns) and comparable to Terran Humans in most ways. As with all Paradigm Humans, they have slightly thicker, rougher skin and a slightly higher tolerance for colder conditions and a slightly lower tolerance for warm conditions.

Rette itself is surrounded by space stations and has several planet-class docking bays upon its surface. It was a pivitol planet during the War of the Seven Suns and fought alongside its neighbours for the Securitas faction.
